This template removes the first word of the first parameter. Use |1=
for the first parameter if the string may contain an equals sign (=). By default, words are delimited by spaces, but the optional parameter |sep=
can set the separator to any character.

By checking {{trim }} To trim any leading or trailing whitespace {{strip whitespace }} Less effective than {{trim}} . {{first word }} To trim down to the first space.
Dedicated {{WikiProjectbasename }} Removes "WikiProject" from a pagename. {{remove unranked }} Removes the string "unranked_" from the left of a string (taxonomy). {{ship prefix }} Returns the length of a ship's name prefix, if listed (ship names).
Insertion, replacement and length
